Simon Wee (b. 1946) graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1967. The renowned first-generation Master Painter Chen Wen Hsi was his first teacher who introduced him to the basics of painting. He created his own unique style throughout the years after studying and practicing a number of painting forms and techniques. Most of Wee’s works are painted with white, black and gold. The strokes are simple yet profound, as if they were derived from the inner recess of his feelings. Each of his artwork is full of energy and strength.
