Phang Weng Kiong was born in 1958 in Singapore. His ancestral origin is Nanhai, Guangdong province. Attended course at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and taught there previously. He studied ink painting under the tutelage of both Master Nai Swee Leng and Master Koh Mun Hong. In addition to ink painting, Weng Kiong also learnt calligraphy from Master Koh. In 1998, Weng Kiong was included in “The Who’s Who of Chinese Calligraphers and Painters” published by Tianjin Ancient Works Publishing House. Weng Kiong is a professional artist and teacher in Chinese calligraphy, ink painting, and seal carving. He enjoys composing Chinese poems in his free time. He was the Former President of the Molan Art Association for 12 years.
祖籍广东南海,1958年生于新加坡,书画家。曾在南洋美专进修也曾在南洋艺术学院任教。师从赖瑞龙老师习水墨画及许梦丰老师习书法与水墨画。1998年被编入天津古籍出版社出版的《中国古今书画名人大辞典》。多年来也被受邀参加各种出版。从事书画篆刻教学与创作,闲时陶醉于赋诗之乐。墨澜社前社长(12年)。
