著名油画家鲍加 （1933-2021），出生于湖北武汉市，安徽歙县人，中国国家一级美术师。1949年加入皖南文工团，开始从事革命美术工作，画舞台布景、街头宣传画、漫画和幻灯片。20世纪60年代起，多次参加全国革命题材创作组的工作。曾担任中国美术家协会常务理事，安徽省文联副主席、安徽省美术家协会主席、国家一级美术师。作品曾在美国、法国、日本、俄罗斯、保加利亚、新加坡等国展出。出版有《鲍加油画集》《自然流韵——鲍加油画集》《山川情怀——鲍加油画集》《鲍加油画作品选》等。

Bao Jia (1933-2021), a renowned Chinese oil painter, was born in Wuhan, Anhui Province. A national first-class artist, Bao was celebrated for his monumental realist works depicting China’s revolutionary history. In 1949, he joined the Southern Anhui Cultural Troupe, beginning his work in revolutionary art, stage backdrop, street propaganda posters, cartoons, and slides. From 1960s onwards, he actively participated in the work of the National Revolutionary Theme Creation Group. He served as standing Director of the China Artists Association, Vice-Chairman of the Anhui Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Chairman of the Anhui Provincial Artists Association. His works have been exhibited in the United States, France, Japan, Russia, Bulgaria, Singapore, and other countries. Published works include Bao Jia's Paintings, Natural Rhythm—Bao Jia's Paintings, Feelings for Mountains and Rivers—Bao Jia's Paintings, and Selected Works of Bao Jia's Paintings.
